HOW DO I VOLUNTEER? pict0.jpg

Volunteers are the key to the success of the Comox Valley Therapeutic Riding Society in Courtenay, B.C., Canada. With up to three volunteers required for every rider and riding sessions held four days a week, some weeks we may need as many as 90 volunteers. Experienced instructors and volunteers are present to offer support and direction until you feel comfortable.

Duties may include grooming the horse, putting on tack (saddle or bridle), leading the horse, or walking beside the horse ("side walking") to provide security for the rider.

Volunteers are also crucial to the success of numerous exciting and original fundraising activities which we schedule throughout the year.

YOU BENEFIT TOO!

While you may volunteer to help others. Don't be surprised if you feel a tremendous sense of achievement and camaraderie vourself! Volunteering is a wondeful way to make like-minded new friends!

For more information on volunteer opportunities, please contact the Program Coordinator at (250) 3381968 or email the office at cvtrs@telus.net. For your convenience, also have a printable Volunteer Application Form at this link. Our mailing address and fax number arc included.
